Ryan Dungey of Belle Plaine, wearing a No. 1 Vikings jersey, was the center of attention for most the fans at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis Saturday night. Dungey, the reining supercross champion, finished third in Saturday’s 450SX main event. Eli Tomac of Colorado was first and Marvin Musquin of Florida took second. Dungey still leads the points standings as the series heads to Atlanta for round eight of the 17-race series, with Musquin now 16 points back. Tomac took a sizable five-point chunk out of his deficit behind Dungey and now sits 24 points back with nine races left to run. Dungey, the son of Troy and Michelle Dungey of Belle Plaine, is married to Lindsay (Siegle) Dungey, a 2009 graduate of Belle Plaine High School.
