The Belle Plaine High School boys’ and girls’ golf teams were both in action at this past Monday’s 18-hole invitational at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. It was the second outing of the season for the Belle Plaine boys and only the first for the girls.
Boys’ Results
The BPHS boys’ golf team finished fifth of seven teams Monday (April 17) at Ridges of Sand Creek.
The Tigers finished with a team score of 390. Jordan won the competition with a 352.
Cole Haller and Jake Pingalore led Belle Plaine. Haller finished with an 86 to finished seventh overall. Pingalore carded a 98. Alex Meger finished with a 102. Nick Morrison finished with a 104. Jasper Bartels finished with a 114 and John Franck completed the round at 122.
Kellen Erpenback of Sibley East-Central (NYA) carded the top 18-hole score with a 78,
Besides the Hubmen, Heritage Christian Academy (354), Tri-City United (372) and Le Sueur-Henderson (377) finished in front of Belle Plaine.
NRHEGT and Sibley East-Central (NYA) finished behind Belle Plaine.
Girls’ Results
The Tigers finished fifth in the six-team girls’ competition Monday (April 17) in Jordan.
Belle Plaine finished with a team score of 535, 10 strokes behind fourth-place Watertown-Mayer. Jordan won the competition with a team score of 379.
Lily Vinkemeier posted Belle Plaine’s top score, a 117. Daisy  Vinkemeier was four strokes back at 121. Caitlin Preusser finished with a 122 and Theresa Wentworth finished at 175.
Le Sueur-Henderson finished second with a team score of 398 and NRHEG was third at 517.
Jordan had two golfers-- Emily Henderson and Autumn Sivilay tie for medalist honors with 18-hole scores of 91.
