Belle Plaine’s Quinnlyn Gleason, a kindergartner at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic School, was recently awarded honorable-mention honors for her submission to the annual Minnesota State Fire Chief’s Association poster contest.  Quinnlyn’s poster was judged the best of the 200 posters Belle Plaine students submitted to the state contest. The daughter of Carolyn and Michael Gleason, the 6-year-old artist had her picture taken with Belle Plaine Fire Chief Matt Stier, received a personal tour of the fire hall and had her picture taken driving a fire truck. She also won a $10 prize.
