    Milred Boyle, a resident of the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home, turned 101 years old on June 11 and fondly remembered the many changes that occurred during her century of life as a city girl, having never lived on a farm.

    Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township observed its centennial June 23 – 30.  The church was founded by Rev. Friedrich Kahmeyer in 1857 and the following year the first log building housing the church and parsonage was erected.
