Introductory instructional leagues for boys in grades 3-6 designed to work on the fundamentals of football in a fun and safe game. Players will learn team work, along with the basic skills of blocking, passing, receiving and ball carrying. New challenges for 2013!! Create a MONSTER TRUCK to pull the most LEGOs! Build a motorized LEGO drag racer and challenge your classmates to a race! Let the marshmallows fly with your specially designed LEGO catapult. Compete for prizes and have a great time building awe-inspiring projects each day! Every day students are given a different LEGO building challenge (called a ‘design brief’). They will use their design to investigate basic engineering concepts, complete different tasks, and compete for prizes. Students will then modify their projects to compete for daily prizes. Challenges include: Drag Racer, Truck Pull, Wicked Ride and much more. The environment is fun, inclusive and fast-paced. Everyone goes home a winner in this spirited journey of LEGO mettle! An instructional camp designed to work on the fundamentals of football. Special attention is given to the fundamentals of passing, receiving and ball carrying. Development of team concepts as well as offensive and defensive game plans will be stressed. Future Tiger Football players will be challenged to compete and improve their skills. Contests and 7 on 7 passing games will highlight each day. This program will introduce young athletes to the game of volleyball. The primary emphasis will be placed on teaching the most basic individual volleyball skills and rules. Sportsmanship and team skills will also be emphasized to begin developing well-rounded players. This program is under the direction of Community Services, HS Coaches/players and/or adult volunteers.
